The Öresund Bridge

One of Europe's most iconic transportation landmarks, the Öresund Bridge, which connects Denmark and Sweden, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. However, despite its enormous impact on businesses in the region, challenges persist. Oskar Damkjaer, 28, stands on a platform inside the 19th-century red-brick train station in Malmö. He lives in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, and commutes across the Öresund Bridge to Sweden's third-largest city twice a week, squeezing in part of his workday for the quick 40-minute train ride. "People think traveling to another country is a big deal," says the software engineer who works for Neo4j, a Swedish database company. "I'd say it's quite convenient."
