The 3 reasons that explain Dina Boluarte's departure from the government through Congress
1. The plague of insecurity Boluarte's administration was plagued by mistakes. However, the increase in violent crime and delinquency was the final blow. The shooting of the cumbia group Agua Marina during a performance at a military club in Lima triggered the crisis that removed Boluarte from the Presidential Palace, also known as the House of Pizarro. The data show that violence and danger in Peru are increasing. According to the Death Information System (Sinadef), 161 more homicides were recorded in the first half of 2025 than in the same period in 2024. In August of this year, only 209 homicides were recorded. 2. The Shadow of Corruption: Crime contributed to Boluarte's decline in the polls. She, no longer president, is accused of improper bribery for allegedly receiving gifts of valuable jewelry and Rolex watches, the origin of which she could not justify. 3. Authoritarianism and Her Juntas: Although in 2023 she claimed to be "a peaceful, communicative woman who believes in democracy," the president's behavior during these months showed something different. Boluarte did not take any responsibility, but instead used her last address from the presidential palace to list her government's achievements.
