Proposed land concessions to Ukraine are a Putin plan, says EU's top diplomat.

The European Union's (EU) top diplomat has called for Ukraine not to be urged to hand over Russian territories as part of a future peace deal. Kaja Kallas stated that allowing Russia to keep Ukrainian territories was a "trap Putin wants us to fall into." A long-running dispute over the eastern part of Ukraine, known as Donbas, has been maintained by Russia, whose military aggression has forced 1.5 million Ukrainians to seek refuge over the past ten years.
