This Wednesday, the president had to be urgently evacuated during a campaign event in the province of Buenos Aires after being surrounded by protesters who threw rocks and other projectiles at one of his campaign vehicles while shouting and insulting him. The attack, which the president attributed to Kirchnerism, led to the cancellation of the rally and exacerbated tensions ahead of the provincial elections on September 7 and the midterm legislative elections on October 26.
