"I lose $100,000 a month": US merchants hurt by Trump's tariffs

They are the only company that was once a large manufacturing enterprise. Most of it closed in 1990 when the Teixeira family transformed its business into a distribution and warehousing business. Since US President Donald Trump instituted the tariffs, the Teixeira family has received an increased number of inquiries from companies seeking their US-based tailoring services. They are discouraged by the complexity of hiring staff in the context of a restrictive immigration policy and by the uncertainty about whether demand will be sustained.
