FBI Agent Who Initially Investigated the Deadly ICE Shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis Resigns
According to two sources familiar with the matter, the FBI agent who was the first to collaborate with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Arrest (BCA) on the investigation into the fatal ICE shooting of Renee Good has left the agency. Shortly after the agent began investigating civil rights issues, she was instructed to reclassify the case as an investigation into an attack on the agent. The FBI prevented the BCA from intervening in the investigation. The agent's resignation comes as the agency has conducted another purge of veteran FBI agents in several states, according to multiple sources familiar with the departures. Some of those being removed were confronted after the agency reviewed an internal messaging system and discovered instances in which they had made negative comments about President Donald Trump, according to the people familiar with the matter. Some of those comments date back a decade, the sources added.
