Did you know that Giuseppe Garibaldi had Peruvian citizenship?

Giuseppe Garibaldi, the hero of two worlds, arrived in Callao in 1851. To sail the Peruvian seas, it was mandatory to be a Peruvian citizen, and therefore he respectfully accepted the citizenship. He stayed there for two years. He lived in a modest room facing the Pacific Ocean. Today, the fire company in Chorrillos bears his name. He also donated the first Rochabus in South America from Italy.
