At least six people have died following clashes between police and protesters in several Iranian provinces.

Over the past day, individuals demonstrating against Iran's worsening economic situation took to the streets in several provinces across the country. Some protests turned violent after clashes with police broke out. According to the state-run Fars news agency, three people were killed and 17 others were injured on Thursday night. Protesters stormed a police station in the city of Azna, located in Lorestan province in western Iran. Fars reported that protesters clashed with police, threw stones at officers, and set several vehicles on fire. The news agency also reported that some "armed rioters took advantage" of a demonstration in the city. Firearms were later confiscated from certain individuals.
