Argentina and the United States sign an agreement to intensify the fight against organized crime.

Peter Lamelas, the U.S. ambassador, and Patricia Bullrich, Argentina's outgoing Minister of National Security, signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday aimed at strengthening investigations against organized crime. Bullrich and Lamelas signed a memorandum of understanding under which an agent of the Argentine Federal Police will join the "El Dorado Task Force," a U.S. task force comprised of various agencies tasked with bolstering investigations against organized crime. The U.S. Embassy in Argentina stated on social media: "This joint effort will strengthen Argentina and the United States' commitment to investigating criminal organizations involved in money laundering from drug trafficking and other crimes."
