Andrii Yermak, who until now was the head of the president's office, resigned amid the biggest corruption scandal of the war in Ukraine.
His name appears in the investigation into a fraud network within the inner circle of the Ukrainian leader. November 28 of this year will be a date etched in Ukrainian history as one of the most important days. And not because of the Russian invasion. This Friday, Ukraine awoke to news that has shaken the foundations of the nation's political power. In the morning, officials from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NABU) abruptly entered the home of Andrii Yermak, who heads the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky. In the afternoon, the president announced that his right-hand man had resigned. Yermak is implicated in the Midas case, a bribery and money laundering network that has impacted Zelensky's inner circle.
