Amid massive protests, Trump vows to impose new tariffs on European goods over Greenland until an agreement is reached.
President Donald Trump will impose a 10% tariff on "all goods" from Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, and other countries starting February 1. This tariff will rise to 25% on June 1 and remain in place until an agreement is reached with several European countries, unless a deal is struck to acquire Greenland; this intensifies his ongoing effort to dominate the Arctic region. "We have supported Denmark, all the countries of the European Union (EU), and others for a long time by not charging them tariffs or other forms of compensation," he said.
