A PERUVIAN CLAIMS TO BE CURED BY ALIENS.
Donato Cervantes, born in Huaraz (Áncash) in 1943, was the protagonist of one of the most controversial cases in Peruvian ufology. At age 39, he suffered a severe car accident that caused serious injuries to his right forearm, severing muscles, veins, and tendons. Doctors recommended amputation as the only solution. Cervantes refused surgery, citing previous interventions by extraterrestrial beings. Surprisingly, his arm healed completely in 13 days, and he subsequently developed extraordinary abilities: he could break stones, bend metals without tools, and heal diseases. His fame spread internationally, attracting people from various countries. Controversy arose when local doctors questioned his methods. According to Cervantes, cosmic entities subsequently withdrew his healing abilities. His story shocked the ufology community in Peru, Mexico, and Bolivia, sparking debates about extraterrestrial intervention in human affairs. Cervantes died in Huaraz on August 28, 2013.
